Russian Practice

Have fun figuring out what this billboard near our building says (answer at bottom of post). It caught my attention and made me laugh... It's always disarming to read something in Cyrillic, only to realize that the words are actually English... I'm going to make this a regular feature, picking advertisements for you to decipher.

I love it! :) Everytime I travel to Russia/Ukraine I play a game of trying to figure out what the signs say...it gives me good practice at learning the letters. I must be out of practice though...I had to use your cheat sheet - and I still got it wrong! :)

I could not get the last word at all. First two were transparent to me even before I read you blog, but the last word just got me. My mind just refused to see a "Y" as russian "ou" sound, how funny.

I got everybody (I always thought it was funny too for signs in Russian to reflect English names), but I wanted the second part to read Dee Jay. I wanted it to say what I wanted and missed the N. Loved it.
