Christmas at Smolenskaya Ploshchad

Thought you'd enjoy these sites of your former stomping ground, Jerry & Jeannie! You, too, Rachael... Here's the tree in front of your old hotel, the Belgrade. Below you can see me turn around to get the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, too. Listen carefully; traffic was HORRID!

Thank-you for this!!!! What great memories from that little street corner for Katya and I!!! I recognized the pics right away. I hope I will stand on the corner again someday...

Jeannie - I can certainly understand missing Moscow. Though I didn't get a chance to really live there, a homing device was somehow implanted in me and I MISS it.

We stayed in the Belgrad this past trip - not my favorite. My dear Ukraina was closed, and will undoubtedly reopen improved past what we could afford (and I didn't WANT improvement!) I LOVED that hotel!

The tree is amazingly beautiful.

I have photos of Craig and I there at night. And then Ilya and I crossed that path so many times in our wanderings....
