A Box Full of Joy!

The other day I schlepped a BIG and heavy box home... Felt a wee bit like Santa Claus...

And Katya reacted as if I were the best elf ever.

My blogger friends who moved here from Niger graciously shared all their outgrown books that are now just right for Katya! She was thrilled and immediately wrote Camille a thank you note. (I'll give it to when I see you next, C!)

Hand-me-downs are so delightful... A joy to give and a joy to receive...

Wow! An early Xmas for Katya. I know how she loves to read so she must have been very excited to open the box and find the surprise.

It's nice to pass things along. I was very happy to clear things out of your room to bring to Cecelia for her granddaughters. I also "shopped" in my "stash" and brought in bags of new things for our Adopt A Family drive here at work this week.

Katya looks so grown up and so cute among all these books!
I have to e-mail you a picture we came across of Katya and Ben in Japanese restaurant in Ann Arbor taken years ago. You practically can not tell them apart.

Olga,

I wish they were still small and Katya was closer than a day's flight away.
