The Spring Thaw...

I took this picture on April 3rd. Quite spring-y, 'eh? That's not a stream... It's the SIDEWALK, covered in rather deep water.

Funny thing is, it sure FELT like spring after our long winter... So much so that the girls begged to ride their scooters to school.

Things are much drier now. Pretty soon I'll be able to get the car washed and have it stay clean for more than five minutes!

Thank goodness that has dried up as I'd need to go out to buy rubber rain boots for my trip.

I cannot imagine having to deal with the winter thaw. We are lucky to keep our snow for 3 days here in TN. Of course, the downside is that we never had the opportunity to sled this year either.

Ok, I will NOT complain any more about how cold it still is here! :-)
Glad to see that the sun has decided to shine again there!

Oh, keep me posted on this! I'll have to rethink the shoe thing. ;)

I'm so glad you told me today that the clouds will be seeded so we'll have sunny, dry weather and that the sidewalks/streets will be thoroughly cleaned and dry so we won't have to walk through the mess like in your picture.

Check out egg wraps on The Beet Goes On. Love them. Hopefully you can find some like those - especially the blue. Thanks

I found some "deals" for you last night.

What a difference perspective makes. I'm shivering just looking at this.

Happy to discover a new expat blog (though mine won't be an expat blog for long as I'm heading back to Paris next summer....;-(
Take care in the cold (I send you some Roman sun ;-)
