Hello from Oregon!

video

Had fun at Cannon Beach yesterday! It was COLD, though... Soooo much colder, surprise, surprise, than in Naples...

We're almost over the jet lag. Eleven hours are MUCH harder to adapt to than our usual eight! The twenty-six hours of travel time are painful. Really.

We're having fun, though. The girls are having such fun with my dad and with my cousins' young children.

For those of you that were keeping my friend's mom in your thoughts, she passed away last Monday and was buried on Saturday. It's so, so sad. My poor friend and her family...

On a more personal note, my own mom was in the hospital on Thursday! It turns out that she has shingles! She's now at home recuperating. I wish I could take care of you, Mom!

Have fun out there! We used to live in Oregon... I acted in Ashland, and we lived in Portland and Heppner (in the eastern part of the state...)

P.S. I bet poor Asya and Lyalya are missing the attention sorely!

Hi Tami,

Glad you're having a nice time in Oregon. We plan to visit Cannon Beach on July 19th or 20th. :) I can imagine the jet lag would be tough. Enjoy the rest of your time in Oregon and say hi to the girls from us.

Hugs,
Lynne

I remember going to Cannon Beach in the winter with Dad, Kathy, Brian and Sean in Dec. 1970. Bit chillier then!

Connie emailed me tonight to fill me in some. Glad you're having such a good time. Call if you get a chance.

So, so sad about Julie's mother and the circumstances.

My ambulance ride to the ER was Friday. My boss showed up at the ER within an hour, stayed with me all day, drove me home and got me settled. Lots of friends have called to see if I needed anything and fortunately the dog is with my dog trainer friend until Wed. afternoon. I'm feeling better but sort of pushed it this afternoon by putting all the window screens in. This entailed getting them from the cellar and washing the sills first. Well, after that I was wiped out. I'm glad this didn't happen when you're all here to ruin our time together. The house might not be as clean as I'd like for your arrival though.

What? U r in Oregon? So close to me and I had no clue? Okay so maybe it's a drive, but when you are in CA next, we will do for you what you did for us in Moscow!

I hope your mom feels better soon. I just read about her ordeal on Katya's blog.
Is it nice to be back in US?

Oh Oregon, I grew up in Eugene, how I miss the west coast! I hope you have a wonderful time. It sure is rainy and icky out here in Boston! What fun to travel so much. Hope the jet-lag gets better!

Tina: my mom's husband had shingles and no end of troubles from it, esp. near his eyes. Be very vigilant and keep in touch with your healthcare providers about everything. And please feel better soon . . .
