I found your blog while looking for the American Doll website...I had thought it was American Girl! oops! Our son is adopted from Russia. We lived in Chelyabinsk for 5 weeks. We needed to return something and told "No!" Our translator, a local, did it for us and they fought her too. It was insanity! One of those things we say "only in Russia..."

I do enjoy reading about your Russian days and it makes me want to go back..and then other days I have read your blog and thought-no way! Thank you for sharing with us.
